			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever heard the saying, &#8220;If your not assessing, your just guessing!&#8221; Well, it&#8217;s true. If you really want to know if your workouts are working for you, its time to start documenting your progress.  Here are a few suggestions:<br />
1. Buy a Tanita scale or other scale that determines body fat percentage.  You don&#8217;t want to get mad at yourself for gaining muscle and you don&#8217;t want to praise yourself for losing muscle!  Find out if you are truly losing fat and gaining muscle.<br />
2. Take your picture! A picture is worth a thousand words.  Get into a bathing suit and take several, full body pics:  Forward, side, and back.  You don&#8217;t have share these pictures but it really helps to accurately determine if you are shaping up.<br />
3.  Journal.  If you really want to see results, this is a great tracking option. Track your workouts: What you did and for how long.<br />
Track your food: What time did you eat, what did you eat, and how much.</p>
<p>These three simple suggestions will jump start your progress.  If you would like additional tracking, I am available to help you.  At Angie&#8217;s World, we use a BIA machine to assess your hydration, vitamin, protein, and essential fat needs.  It also determines how many calories you are burning and whether or not you are toxic.  In addition to the BIA, we have a Biomeridian machine (both machines are non-invasive, no needles!). The Biomeridian determines how your organs and tissues are doing &#8211; are you holding stress in your liver? Do you have a stomach parasite?  There are many reasons why your body isn&#8217;t losing body fat. Allow us to be your detective to help find the root cause of your ailments.<br />
In addition to these two great machines, I also perform structural assessments.  I use a plumb line to analyze your posture.  I also use inclinometers, which are tools that tell me if your hips and ribs are in their proper positions as well as if your cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine are in their proper curvatures.<br />
Whatever you decide to do, tracking is essential to ensure your body is improving.  </p>

<div>I want you to start thinking of your food differently. Everything you put  in your body can take one of two pathways. That is, it can create an  ANTI-inflammatory response or an inflammatory response. There are really no  neutral foods except maybe water but that is also debatable. Studies show that  the majority of diseases are related to inflammation in the body. Diabetes is  inflammation based on the bombardment of sugar that the body cannot handle. High  Blood Pressure is inflammation in the cardiovascular system and extra weight and  obesity is inflammation of the fat. The fat LITERALLY comes alive. These  responses of inflammation lead to a host of ailments and the body feels it is  under attack so it goes on the defensive. This does not lead to a healthy body  and the body gets significantly unbalanced, tired, grumpy and broken and cannot  find optimal health. At this point your body is just trying to put out the  &#8220;fires&#8221; that are raging through it. When we choose food, we can either put the  fires out or add gasoline to them! When we choose anti inflammatory foods we are  investing in our health, quieting the extreme responses and giving our body the  armor it needs to thrive not just survive.  Anti-Inflammatory foods include  fresh fruits and vegetables, legumes, healthy fats and lean meats. Inflammatory  foods are processed, full of sugar and usually stripped of all nutrition. These  include soda, chips, bottled dressings and sauces, sugary snacks and fast  food.  This also includes red meat, alcohol and gluten. As an individual, it is  important to understand your own body and find your particular triggers that can  lead to inflammatory responses like aching joints, indigestion, poor sleep ,  moodiness, depression, lack of energy, etc. etc. etc.!!.  Gluten is in almost  everything these days  and is responsible for  an increasing intolerance in the  systems of many people. (If you would like to get some specifics on your body we  do have an incredible test that is from Biomeridian. It can test food  sensitivities  in all food categories. It can also test for parasites  and  hormone imbalances which can also lead to inflammation). The key is to build  your health on a strong foundation and reduce the inflammation response in the  body. When you choose healthy foods 80% of the time you can quiet the fires and  invest in less disease, less weight, and better emotional happiness, I&#8217;m not  saying that you will never eat a piece of cake at a birthday party but when your  body is in balance it can stave off small &#8220;attacks&#8221; and move on to continue  building health. If it is ALWAYS under attack and resources are depleted , it is  going to get weak and then be susceptible to an all out war! Make the choice for  yourself. Every time you put something in your mouth ask yourself &#8220;which pathway  is the fuel going to go, the inflammatory way or the supportive ANTI-  inflammatory way?&#8221; You make the call every single day!</div>

<p>I have to tell you about some incredible things I have been finding by using the BioMeridian equipment. I had a patient that I was working with recently who was in her late 70’s. She had been dealing with many health issues and couldn’t quite figure out what all was ailing her. It seemed that no matter what she would do, nothing could help her feel better. So after taking her health history, etc., one of the questions I ask her was if she had ever been out of the country. Well her answer was a simple “No,” I haven’t been anywhere in quite some time.” Well, I had a sneaking suspicion that something might turn up anyhow so I went ahead and tested her with her permission. Well low and behold, just as we had suspected “we found parasites!” Well when I told her what I had found and read where they possibly had originated from which was “the middle east”, her reply was “Oh yell, I was in the middle east last year for an entire month and the first week I was so sick I thought I was going to die! No one could tell me what was wrong, so I had to stay in bed and wait until it ran its course. I just figured it was a really bad flu bug or food poisoning!” My reply was “Silvia, how could you forget that?” With that she replied “well Tammy, it wasn’t something I wanted to remember!” J Needless to say, we put her on the proper protocol for what she had and miraculously a great deal of her health issues have already begun to dissipate! We will periodically retest her to make sure they are gone, but in the meantime she’s gotten long overdue answers to those health issues she couldn’t quite put her finger on! This state of the art alternative medical equipment from Europe is an incredible tool and one that everyone can and should be tested on.</p>
